Carroll Composite Squadron sends snack foods to US troops in Afghanistan Upon receiving an email asking for snack food items to send to US Troops in Afghanistan from an associate whose son is stationed there, 2d Lt Michael Zabetakis, led the Carroll Squadron response. For the troops who were called upon to serve our country after September 11th, this seemed such a small thing to do. Carroll Squadron sent 7 packages totaling 193lbs of snack food items. Things we take for granted here in the states are a little more hard to come by over there. Return address flyers were placed into the packages hoping for return correspondence. We need to remember our sons, daughters, husbands, wives, mothers and fathers who are away from home, doing their duty, serving our country.
