Would you like to honor and serve America? Do you want to prepare for your future while making new
friends? Then rise to the challenge of cadet membership in the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol.

Cadets fly, learn to lead, hike, camp, get in shape, and push themselves to new limits. If you’re
dreaming about a career in aviation, space, or the military, CAP’s Cadet Program is for you.

To become a cadet, you must be at least 12 years old and not yet 19 years old.  Cadets meet 2 hours
per week and one Saturday per month, on average, and also have opportunities to attend leadership
encampments, career academies, and other activities during the summer.

All active CAP members join through a local squadron - Visit a meeting. The best way to learn more
about what you can do in CAP is to attend a meeting.  You’ll have a chance to see how meetings are
run and what types of activities are available. You will have an opportunity to see cadets and seniors
work together in a community of commitment and dedication to their community.

Membership Application Process. Want more information?  Email the Carroll Composite Squadron at
carrollpao@yahoo.com  We will be pleased to answer your questions and address any issue related
to the operations and administration of the Carroll Composite Squadron.  We will provide you with a
membership application, fingerprint card (for adults) and inform you of the amount of dues.  All
applications for membership must be submitted through with the signature of the CAP Squadron
Commander.  Please keep in mind that the number or email available is often the personal contact for
the CAP member.  All of our members are volunteers and try to respond to membership inquiries as
soon as possible, so please give them a few days to respond.
